Both Mediation And Arbitration Can Be Used To Settle Disputes
ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) is the process whereby the resolving of disputes among parties happens through processes like mediation and arbitration, with the goal of avoiding court action.
Mediation and arbitration differ in several ways. Mediation involves a neutral, independent third person helping the parties find an acceptable solution, but the parties still impose the terms of settlement themselves. It is popular for resolving contractual and shareholder disputes, among others. Arbitration also involves an independent third person, but the terms of settlement are decided by the arbitrator and the arbitrator’s decision is final and legally enforceable. It is an alternate form of court with similar procedural rules.

Its most people’s dream to own property. Whether it’s to start a family or to set up a business, there is a thrill of getting your first property asset. One of the procedures of buying (or selling) a property is property bond transfers.
Property bond transfers are the legal action of having the property transferred from the seller to the ownership of the buyer. It might seem a bit bureaucratic, but basically it’s so that the asset is in the right name and that the municipal procedures can take effect in the name of the new owner.
Property Bond Transfers: A step in Owning Your Own Home
Property bond transfers are only one step in owning your own property. Getting your new property transferred into your name is a great feeling, but there are other procedures you’ll need to follow to get it all done and dusted.
- Attorneys – There are various attorney involved to get a property legally in your name. All these attorneys communicate with each other to complete the process. The bond attorney looks after the bond issues and prepares the bond document. The transferring attorney makes sure the transfer happens and caters for the transfer costs and duties. Finally the cancellation attorney is responsible for cancelling the sellers bond.
- Deeds Office – The deeds office is where all the documents are lodged once everything has been filled out and all the costs are paid. Once all the documents are checked and approved (this can take up to 3 weeks), the attorneys are once again contacted for final registration.
When it comes to property bond transfers its best to get the services of a licensed conveyor to help your through the process quickly and effectively. A professional conveyor will alleviate your stress and make sure everything goes seamlessly.
